OIL: We will change your car’s engine oil and oil filter (Up to 4 Litres of 15/40 or 10/30 oil and oil filter of $23 retail or less)
BODY: We will check the windscreen for any damage and replace the front wiper blades. The washer fluid gets a check and top up as well. Further to the body of the car we check all those moving parts: the door, bonnet, boot hinges and strikes and if needed we give them some lubrication.
BRAKES: The brake components are checked visually, and wheels removed if required to make sure the brakes are in a safe condition. The condition of the brake hoses and lines are checked. The brake fluid is checked to make sure the level is ideal. And the handbrake lever is checked to see if there is any travel.
BATTERY: The condition of the battery is connected to our charge tester to pick up its condition and if it is possible the water level of the battery is also checked.
ELECTRICAL: The electrical components are checked for operation. The lights: headlights, tail lights, brake lights and indicators. And of course not to miss out the horn, that’s always the fun one to check when some lest expecting team member walks past!
TRANSMISSION: Whether the transmission is Manual, Automatic or CVT we do a thorough check. The fluid level and condition in the transmission and differential (if applicable) are all checked. CV boots and joints checked as well.
ENGINE: All the fluid levels under the bonnet get checked and the clutch and the power steering. Drive belts are checked to see what condition they are in and the Cambelt is looked at to see if it requires changing. The condition of hoses and clamps are checked and the air cleaner element. The fuel filter has a visual check.
COOLING: The radiator is given a thorough once over. The water level in the radiator and the overflow bottle are checked and the condition of the hoses.
TYRES: The pressure in the tyres are checked and filled as necessary. The wear of the tread is looked at, often there is uneven wear which signals the need for further investigation. The tread depth is measured and the tyre checked for any damage.
STEERING: The condition of the steering components are checked for any excess play and the condition of the rack boots are accessed.
EXHAUST: The condition of the exhaust is checked and its security.
Finally a road test is completed. All this undertaken by experienced mechanics. The question is why wouldn’t you get your vehicle tested regularly when such a comprehensive service is provided and for such a reasonable price? That is less than a $1 a day!
And you are then on the regular schedule to be called up when your car is due for the next service - so easy.
